Lead Pastor

Felix has served faithfully in pastoral ministry for over 30 years. His ministry began in Cuba, where he served as a pastor before later continuing his pastoral ministry in New Jersey. In 2012, he became the Lead Pastor of Sweetwater Baptist Church, where he continues to shepherd the congregation through biblical preaching, teaching, and pastoral care.

Throughout his ministry, Felix has had a heart for missions and church planting, serving in various missions efforts and helping lead Sweetwater in planting another local church.

Felix earned his Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His desire is to see people come to know Christ, believers grow in their understanding of God’s Word, and the local church faithfully carry out the Great Commission.

Youth Pastor

Jorlen has been a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church since 2013 and has served as Youth Pastor since 2021. He serves bi-vocationally, working in the construction industry while ministering to the students and young adults of Sweetwater Baptist.

Jorlen is a graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute and earned a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Florida International University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity in Biblical Counseling at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Jorlen is passionate about helping students know and love God’s Word, grow in their relationship with Christ, and become faithful members of the local church. His desire is to see young people equipped with a biblical worldview and prepared to follow Christ faithfully in every area of life.
